  • Introduction

    The main objective of this project is to identify the perception of school teachers and students about management of diabetic students with type I at school in order to maintain a safe school day for the diabetic student and prevent further complications.
    The study will be conducted in selected Secondary schools in Khartoum / Sudan after getting an ethical Approval from the management unit of secondary education in state ministry of education and an oral agreement from the participants themselves.
    Secondary schools will be enlisted and the targeted schools will be selected randomly to prevent bias , and the sample size is going to be taken by specific formula to avoid under or over estimation. First the project will start with a survey of the research the participants perception about the target problem then an educational program based on the survey will be conducted in sessions and again the participants will be interviewed by the same data collection tools to determine the change that had been made by the program or the program effects. Data will be collected using a structured questionnaire by the researcher herself and two assistant who will be trained in three sessions /week for two weeks about the tool and data collection process. It will be coded processed , then analysis using SPSS version 20.0 will be done and it is going to be presented in frequency tabulation for monovariate and cross tabulation for bivariate and the significance will be accepted when the P.value is less than 0.05% .A small booklet about DM type I will be printed and disseminated for the participants illustrating the important knowledge about Type I DM , causes , symptoms and signs , emergency management , routine management , complications and health education about Type IDM. Finally , the research report will be written and the results will be discussed and published in form of scientific papers .
